Characteristics
The aim behind extending line A of the Prague metro was to improve the quality of transport services in the northwest sector of Prague. High-capacity metro transport has reduced the number of bus lines in this area. Moving the terminal station closer to the outskirts of the metropolis has ensured the connection of the largest Prague hospital in Motol and has brought metro line A closer to the Ruzyně airport.
