Uniqueness of construction
The contract for the construction of the tramway line in Brno-Bohunice included not only its construction, but also obtaining a building permit at the beginning and, after completion of the construction works, ensuring subsequent approval and test operation. During the tunnel excavation, the builders were surprised by the instability of the slopes of the construction pit, which brought many technical and financial problems. Instability of the slopes was also encountered during the construction of the underground walls and the concreting of the tunnel ceiling. Moreover, these works were complicated by utility relocations and could not be carried out continuously.
